How to make lemon rice ?

Ingredients Required:
OIL - 2 TSP
DRIED CHILLI - 2 nos
MUSTARD - 1 TSP
URAD DAL - 1 TSP
FINELY CHOPED GINGER - 1 TSP
BENGAL GRAM - 1 TBSP
PEANUTS - 2 TBSP
CURRY LEAVES - 1 strand
TURMERIC POWDER - 1/4 TSP
SALT - To taste
LEMON JUICE - 2 lemons
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Switch on the stove, and place a pan on it.
- Add oil to the pan and let it become hot.
- Add dried chillies, mustard seeds, urad dal and sauté. Wait till the mustard seeds pop.
- Now, add the finely chopped ginger and sauté it.
- Add the bengal gram and sauté till it’s roasted followed by the peanuts and sauté till it turns into golden brown.
- Add the curry leaves and turmeric powder followed by salt.
- Now turn off the gas and add the squeezed lemon juice. Stir it well and remove it from the stove.
- Add boiled rice and mix.
- Taste the lemon rice, to adjust the amount of rice you want depending on your tastebuds.
This lemon mix can also be stored without mixing to rice, for future use.
To store, let the lemon mix cool down to room temperature.
Transfer the mix to an air tight container and store it in refrigerator.
Thaw the mix by taking it out from the refrigerator 15 mins before use and use hot boiled rice to make your instant lemon rice.
